Dr. Heejung Bang is a methodologist and applied statistician with epidemiology, clinical trial, and health economy background. Dr. Bang has experience in developing user-friendly tools and methods for professional statisticians and clinical trialists (e.g., censored cost estimators, blinding index) as well as for patient-clinician communications (e.g., diabetes risk test, shared decision making tool). She is also a co-investigator and biostatistician for a project funded from that PCORI, which aims at reducing unnecessary treatments for patients in primary clinical settings. Additionally, she wrote book chapters “Introduction to observational studies” and “The role of epidemiology and biostatistics in health news reporting.
